Phra Kring amulets often feature an image of the Buddha in the standing or sitting posture with a small spherical chamber at the base. The amulets are sometimes released in series, and “Chin-na-ban-chon” refer to a specific series or consecration style. Each series have unique features, inscriptions, or blessings associated with it.
The most famous buddhist amulet of luang-pu-tim is plai-ku-marn powders. The making of these plai-ku-marn powders underwent very complicated processes. He asked the undertaker to obtain the skull of unborn child of the pregnant mother who died on Saturday and cremated on Tuesday. The undertaker was further instructed, after getting the skull , not to look back because the ghost of the dead mother would haunt him possibly leading to his insanity. He further used his psychic powers to control their souls for 7 nights before grinding the skull in the mortar. During the grinding , a miracle occured in the form of fire rising from the mortar. He mixed the powders from the grinding skull with it-ti-je powders , phra-wai powders and 108 types of bulb plants in order to make phra-kun-pan , plai-ku-marn powders.
At present , this kind of buddhist amulet was rare and very difficult to find. Thus , it is advisable for collectors to turn to other luang-pu-tim’s buddhist amulets which were well-known and possessed the same spiritual values as phra-kun-pan , plai-ku-marn powders
