Phra Pidta

Phra Pidta is typically depicted as a seated Buddha with both hands covering its eyes, hence the name “Pidta,” which means “closed eyes” in Thai. It symbolises deep meditation and inner contemplation and represents the Buddha’s ability to shield himself from external distractions and focus on attaining enlightenment.

Phra Pidta amulets are usually made of various materials, such as metal, wood, or clay, and are often adorned with sacred inscriptions, images, or magical symbols. They are created by highly respected Buddhist monks and blessed through a consecration ceremony, infusing them with spiritual power.

Pidta amulet is believed to offer protection against danger, accidents, evil spirits, and black magic. It is also thought to enhance one’s luck, fortune, and overall well-being. The image is believed to bring blessings, protection, and good fortune to the wearer.
